Learning languages is a daunting task. In 2001, while studying in Italy, I was required to learn Spanish and Italian, simultaneously. My classes were all in Italian, and my day- to-day life was in Spanish. Determined to learn as quickly as I could, I avoided the company of English speakers, spending my time listening to and communicating with Italian and Spanish speakers. For about 4 months of 2001, I was pretty much just a piece of furniture, but during that time I learned how natural it is to  learn languages through immersion. For many years I hardly spoke English, communicating almost exclusively in Spanish and Italian; gaining an almost native level of fluency. 

In the summer of 2009 I met Professor Luigi Miraglia, founder and director of Vivarium Novum, a program that teaches Latin through immersion. He invited me to study in his school and in the summer of 2010 I joined his program. Like my previous experience in Spanish and Italian, it took a few months, but by the end of 2010 I was communicating in Latin as well. 

Since 2014, I have been teaching languages in a classroom setting, and am familiar with a variety of courses and methods.

Learning languages is difficult, but I believe it is a natural process. Although most people study languages in a classroom setting, my wide expertise helps them understand the immediate goals they are expected to reach.
